Abstract

In this study a near isotropic extended arc antenna has been designed and simulated in Numerical Electromagnetics code at a frequency of 1 GHz. Simulations show that antenna has a maximum total gain variation of 0.5 dB, an input impedance of 81.5 Ω and SWR of 1.08 with 75 Ω transmission line after compensating the imaginary part. The maximum gain of antenna is 0.2 dB with a bandwidth of 40 MHz for VSWR ≤ 2.
