Abstract. Aprilianti P. 2019. Ex-situ conservation of Durio spp. in Bogor Botanic Gardens (West Java) and Katingan Botanic Gardens (Central Kalimantan). Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 5: 123-128. Indonesia is one of the center diversity of Durio spp. of the world. Center for Plant Conservation Botanic Garden, known as Bogor Botanic Garden (BBG) as a member of Indonesian Botanic Gardens and Katingan Botanic Garden (KBG) as one of local/regional botanic garden are two institutions which have main role in conserving Indonesian native flora. Katingan BG alone has special theme for its collection, that is fruit plant of Kalimantan, Indonesia and other tropical areas. Bogor BG coordinated under Indonesian Institute of Sciences and has collected 10 identified species of Durio and other 14 unidentified species in the absence of fruits. Those plants collected from the forest around Kalimantan and Sumatera. Katingan BG is managed by regional government of Katingan District and has 7 species of Durio originated from the forest around Central Kalimantan. Few of the collection are endemic in Kalimantan. Furthermore, few species will be described its potential and rarity status based on IUCN Redlist.
