Abstract

Potential of Exserohilum monoceras as mycoherbisid had been test for control Leptochloa chinensis L. Ness. also known as red sprangletop. The use of E. monoceras solution with a concentration of 2.2 x 106 conidia / ml (first patogenicity test) and 13 x 106 conidia / ml (second patogenicity test) have caused outbreaks and eventually death in seedlings tested at four leaves stage for 15 days assessment. However, effect of E.monoceras on L. chinensis in paddy fields gives the lower infection about 35% of outbreaks in the entire period of 10 days of assessment. Trials in the field showed no harms growth of L. chinensis using E. monoceras.
