Abstract

Intestinal tumors in dogs, while relatively uncommon, often exhibit an infiltrative and aggressive behavior, necessitating thorough clinical staging for optimal therapeutic and surgical planning. This case report describes a canine patient with a highly aggressive neoplasm that required extensive surgical intervention. The tumor encompassed the perineal region, tail, anus, and a portion of the vagina. A 10 cm margin of the rectum, a 3 cm lateral margin, and a sentinel lymph node (iliac) were resected during surgery. Post-surgical recovery was followed by adjuvant therapy and postoperative chemotherapy.
