Abstract

Objective To study the expression of serum osteopontin (OPN) in gastric cancer patients and its effect on tumor metastasis. Methods To choose 156 cases of patients with gastric cancer and gastric cancer tissues, using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method to detect patients with gastric cancer and in normal human health in the control group, the content of serum osteopontin in gastric cancer patients with median content of OPN in groups, with higher than the median concentration for high concentration group, lower than the median concentration to low concentration group, the preoperative OPN concentration and the relationship between the postoperative gastric cancer recurrence and metastasis, compared the difference between high and low concentration group; Using western blot method to detect cancer metastasis in the high concentration group and low concentration group of cancer metastasis in patients with gastric cancer group and health control group not TIP30 and OPN expression in gastric mucosa tissue volume, compare the difference between groups. Results OPN levels in patients with gastric cancer was 75.66 μg/L,significantly higher than the control group of OPN content 30.45 μg/L,the difference was statistically significant (P <0.01) ; High concentration group of patients 2 years of metastasis and recurrence rate were 45.3% and 64.1%,significantly higher than the 25.6% and 11.5% of the low concentration group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.01) ; Western blotting results show that in the high and low concentration group of patients, the OPN expression rate in gastric cancer tissue was obviously higher than that of control group, and high concentration group patients with the expression of OPN quantity is higher than the low concentration group of patients; However, the expression of TIP30 in the normal group significantly higher than both the high and lowconcentration group of patients, and high concentration group of patients gastric cancer tissue expression of TIP30 almost absent. Conclusion The expression of OPN levels serum of gastric cancer patients,is closely related to the transfer of gastric cancer cells. Key words: Gastric cancer; Osteopontin; Tumor metastasis
