Abstract

Objectives: We previously reported that pre-implantation embryos and EEC differentially secrete leptin in-vitro and leptin might be an autocrine/paracrine regulator of cytotrophoblast cells invasiveness (Fertil Steril 1999). In the present study, we investigate the expression of leptin and its receptor (long form) by secretory endometrium and EEC co-cultured with human embryos and the in-vitro effects of IL-1β on leptin secretion by endometrial stromal cells (ESC) and EEC.
