Abstract
Real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR) and methylation-specific PCR were used to test the expression of dopamine receptor D2(DRD2) and the level of DNA methylation by screening 15 cases of aldosteroneproducing adenoma(APA) and 3 normal adrenal cortex samples.mRNA level of DRD2 in APA was significantly lower than that in normal adrenal cortex. The methylated DRD2 plays a partial role in the expression of APA. Key words: Adrenocortical adenoma ; DNA methylation ; Receptors, dopamine D2 ; Reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction; Methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction
