Abstract
Objective Explore the expression and clinical significance of Clusterin in prostate cancer. Methods The expression of Clusterin was detected by immunohistochemical method in the tissure samples of 45 cases of prostate hyperplasia and 40 cases of prostate cancer. The correlation between them was analyzed. Results The positive rate of Clusterin expresion was 15. 7% in prostatic hyperplasia group and 87. 5% in prostate cancer groups respectively.The Clusterin expression level in prostate cancer tissues higher than the hyperplasia of prostate tissue.Clusterin positive expression and the clinical staging of prostate cancer, Gleason scores were positively correlated. Conclusion Clusterin excessive protein expression may be realted to its antiapoptotic effect, which associated with the malignant degree of prostate cancer.
