Abstract

The application of optical methods of wastewater quality determination is substantiated, among which the most widespread are refractometric methods based on refractive index measurement. The known methods of wastewater refractive index measurement require considerable hardware and time costs, have low reproducibility of measurement results. The proposed fibre-optic measuring transducer, which implements a new refractometric method, the main elements of which are supply and return optical fibres, between which there is a tube, inside of which there is an analyzed liquid. The application of the proposed measuring transducer contributes to the acceleration of the process of express analysis of wastewater.
