Abstract

Prevention: of e-cigarettes (EC) use from early age is essential for respiratory and general health. Exposure to marketing of these products may be crucial for early EC use. We aimed to investigate prevalence of EC use related to exposure to EC advertisement and promotion (AP odds ratios(OR) adjusted by socio-demographic factors and smoking status. Results: Ever EC use was prevalent in 9.3%, HTP use–in 3.3%; and current EC use–in 2.5% of population. Higher likelehood of EC/HTP ever and current use was strongly associated with (1)age: in age group 18-24 OR 7.4, 2.2, 4.4; (2)smoking status–highest in smokers: OR 7.2, 7.3, 5.4 vs.former smokers OR 4.9, 5.8, 3.4 and never smokers(p Conclusion: Use of EC is strongly related to A&P of these products. Legal ban on EC A&P is required.
