Abstract
Margaret Haywood, whose undercover film footage exposed patient mistreatment in an NHS hospital, has been cleared by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) of two misconduct charges (news December 3). A third charge will continue to be heard next year. It is a long drawn-out process.
