Abstract

Readymade garment is the most flourishing sector in Bangladesh and it would be imperative. Each and every issue related to improvement of the productivity as well as quality is strictly followed, in order to survive in the global market. The RMG sector is a fully export-oriented industry that came into existence in Bangladesh in the early 1980s and succeeded to claim a prominent role in the Bangladesh economy. The paper is based on the basis of both primary and secondary data. To conduct the study primary data were collected through the personal interview with a structured questionnaire. A total of 150 enterprises with 70 woven units, 50 knits, and 30 sweater units were selected for the survey. A five-point Likert type scale statements were used to measure the variables, where 1 stands for strongly disagree and 5 stands for strongly agree effect on the statements. To achieve the objectives of the study, four hypotheses are formulated and one sample t-test is used to test the hypotheses with 0.05 level of statistical significance, where two are accepted and two are rejected. The results show that customers are satisfied towards the readymade garment products of Bangladesh, the quality of readymade garment products of Bangladesh are good where as employees of RMG sector of Bangladesh are not well trained to serve the customers and RMG manufacturers of Bangladesh do not deliver the products in due time. The recommendations are provided based on the findings and analysis.
