Abstract

Abstract In this paper, exponential synchronization of coupled inertial neural networks (CINNs) with bounded time-varying discrete delay and infinite-time distributed delay (mixed delays) is considered by designing quantized pinning controllers. By designing novel Lyapunov–Krasovskii functionals and using new weighted integral inequalities, delay-dependent criteria formulated by linear matrix inequality (LMI) are obtained. Different from existing ones, the designed Lyapunov–Krasovskii functionals include negative terms, which lead to less conservative results. Numerical simulations verify the effectiveness of the theoretical results.
