Abstract

National identity can be equalized to the cultural cooperation and sublimation. In the architecture area, trying to achieve a congruent space which is in line and parallel to modern technologies and its constant confrontation with novel thoughts and ideas in the area of architecture and spatial organization has driven us to spend a double as much effort to present an architectural type intertwined with our representative identity. The exact scrutiny and the survey of the architectural methodologies and contemporary thoughts and notions accompanied with the consideration of the identity, human technologies and needs of every society, paying attention to the study and experimental researches trends and orientations can present us with an appropriate solution for resolving the today’s troubles in the architecture. Nowadays, the use of historical elements in an intelligent manner has been introduced as a subject that can be reminding of the identity which can be observed in various forms. The architectural identity can also be obtained through giving value to the previous historical architectural remnants, although exclusive orientation and tendency towards the history and tradition cannot be deemed as an appropriate solution for the purpose of interest. The current study is trying to demonstrate the forsaken identity which is going to be exhibited in the format of a pavilion in expo 2020. Although there are commonalities between architectural identity and culture the relationships are vague and a complete understanding of compiling a sustainable national identity and a cultural identity is still missing from the country’s architecture and the current article is to serve as a new horizon to gain a correct conception of the powerful architectural force as a buffer in altering the Iranian cultural and national identity and opening a new venue to the research and reasoning from the current efforts in justifying the Iranian architectural identity
