C. Abstract The ejecta of a particular carbon deflagration model for Type I supernovae are combined with the ejecta of a massive star to show that Type I supernovae may be important contributors to galactic nucleosynthesis. Type I supernovae may help to fill in the paucity of oxygen-burning products from the massive stars. Problems with the overproduction of 16O from massive stars and 40Ca, 56Fe, and 54Fe from deflagration models of Type I supernovae are discussed.
