Abstract

Of the numerous existing methods of application of protective coatings by high-temperature spray deposition, the most advanced and rapidly growing in importance are the plasma, electroexplosive, and detonation deposition techniques [i, 2]. In present-day engineering, however, special coating application processes may be required in the manufacture of models or specimens, which make it possible to obtain layers of considerable thickness (of the order of a few millimeters) and good physicomechanical and operating properties, in particular, strong adhesion to basis materials.
