Abstract

ABSTRACT Purge gas is a kind of industrial waste gas, 80% of which is H2, CO, and CH4. Generally, the common treatment method is to combust it and then empty, which not only pollutes the environment but also wastes massive resources. Therefore, this paper combines the coal chemical purge gas treatment and emission status quo, proposing a new approach of purge gas explosion utilization in coal chemical. The main objective of the study is to determine the ratio of purge gas at laboratory, based on on-site sampling of purge gas in coal chemical plants. And then use the 20 L spherical explosion vessel for explosion experiments. When PMax>0.3MPa, the utilization effect is satisfactory and the impulse of explosion can reach a more useable value, which provides data support for enterprises to choose the best ratio of reuse of the gas. Finally, a concept of the application of purge gas in production is developed, which is of significance to improve the utilization rate of purge gas in coal chemical and reduce the energy consumption of enterprises.
