Abstract
Internationally, vocational education systems influence students' life choices and satisfaction differently, with countries having varied approaches like Germany's paid internships or China's emphasis on academic testing. This project delves into how these differences impact students' decisions and life satisfaction, using a qualitative approach. Interviews with students from Germany and China provided insights into their educational journeys and career prospects. Results indicate that due to varying educational structures, political systems, and cultural values, each system is tailored to its national context. Thus, directly transplanting features, like incorporating Germany’s dual apprenticeship system into China’s vocational system, may not be effective or suitable.
