Abstract
In this paper, the thermodynamic characteristics, magnetocaloric effect and ground-state properties of an edge-decorated Ising multilayer nanoparticle with graphene-like structure are studied by Monte Carlo simulation. The results reveal that size effect, crystal field, exchange coupling, and applied magnetic field can control the magnetic behaviors of the system. In addition, the curves of magnetic entropy change and relative cooling power (RCP) are given induced by various physical parameters.
