Abstract

An upper limit to the production of ${}^{19}\mathrm{Ne}$ through the ${}^{18}\mathrm{F}(p,\ensuremath{\gamma})$ reaction at the recently discovered $s$-wave resonance has been determined. The limit implies that in a hot stellar environment ${(T}_{9}g0.5)$ this reaction is not a significant gateway from the hot CNO cycle towards the production of heavier elements in stars.
