Abstract

Sustainable development has been one of the main hotspots of Chinese research studies in recent years. Examining the scientific research collaboration network will help explore the current collaboration situation and development trends, particularly in the field of sustainability science. Based on the method of social network analysis, the author collaboration network, keyword co-occurrence network, and institutional collaboration network were constructed using the China HowNet database, and the structure and characteristics of the collaboration networks were analyzed. The results show that the co-authorship rates in sustainability science vary greatly, the overall cooperation is still relatively loose, and there are many small groups disconnected within the overall network. The collaboration network can be characterized as being small-world and scale-free, and the nodes with greater influence act as the center of the collaboration network, affecting the academic exchanges and scientific research work in the network.
