Abstract

This study aims to explore the relationship between youth participation in community development and positive youth development using the 5C framework. The study used a cross-sectional design. In this study, 138,874 youth ages 15–29 participated in three selected sites using a multistage sampling method. A quantitative survey using a Likert scale questionnaire was administered to 593 randomly selected youth. The data were analyzed using covariance-based structural equation modeling. The results indicate that economic, social, and political participation in community development contributes significantly to the positive development of youth. The study confirms the vital role of youth participation in community development in the selected zone.
