Abstract

This review explores the pharmacological potential of Acacia auriculiformis, highlighting its diverse medicinal properties and therapeutic applications. Through a detailed analysis of experimental evidence, the study showcases the plant's efficacy in various health concerns. The plant exhibits significant wound healing, antifungal, antibacterial, antifilarial, antioxidant, antimalarial, hepatoprotective, chemoprotective, antimutagenic, CNS depressant, spermicidal, and cestocidal activities. The global interest in herbal medicine and the increasing utilization of A. auriculiformis underscore its importance in alternative healthcare approaches. The review emphasizes the need for further research to elucidate the mechanisms of action underlying the plant's pharmacological activities and to explore its potential clinical benefits. The findings suggest that A. auriculiformis holds promise as a source of therapeutic agents for a wide range of health conditions. Continued investigation into the bioactive compounds derived from the plant, along with clinical trials to assess efficacy and safety, could pave the way for the development of novel treatments.
