Exploring the Factors Influencing Entrepreneurial Behavior Among Albanian Millennials

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to explore and understand the factors influencing entrepreneurial behavior among Albanian millennials.
 
 Theoretical framework: Situated within the context of Albanian millennials, the study examines the impact of various factors such as education, finance, social networks, mentorship, challenges, and barriers on entrepreneurial behavior.
 
 Design/Methodology/Approach: The study utilized a convenience sampling method and employed a structured questionnaire with four sections to collect data. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics, regression analysis, and other statistical techniques to examine the relationship between independent and dependent variables.
 
 Findings: The study highlights that financial independence, passion, and autonomy drive Albanian millennials to initiate their own businesses. It establishes a positive influence of access to education and mentorship on entrepreneurial behavior. However, access to finance and social networks exhibited no significant impact in this context.
 
 Research, practical & social implications: The research outcomes hold implications for fostering entrepreneurial behavior among Albanian millennials. The findings underscore the importance of education and mentorship programs in nurturing entrepreneurship, offering insights for policymakers and stakeholders. By understanding these factors, efforts can be directed towards creating an enabling environment for aspiring young entrepreneurs.
 
 Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature by shedding light on the specific factors influencing entrepreneurial behavior in the Albanian millennial population. It underscores the significance of education and mentorship as drivers of entrepreneurship and provides a nuanced perspective on the impact of finance and social networks, adding value to the field of entrepreneurial studies.
