Abstract

As we know that sustainable growth and development has been a charismatic area of study for the researchers, academicians and industries. Most governments started promoting and working on sustainable methods of producing products in different sectors because we know that most of the resources are limited. So, we have to develop some alternative solutions for those resources. Therefore, we have to think and work in different sectors to promote sustainable growth and development. Handicraft sector is one of the important segments in India, which has been playing a significant role to promote employment generation and foreign exchange. Handicraft producers faced competitions from the machine-made producers of the handicraft in both domestic as well as international markets. In the same way, increasing the mechanization created a hurdle against the handmade firms. The prime objectives of the research paper are to investigate the relationship between handicraft sector and sustainable growth through primary data and to explore the sustainable growth factors, which positively influence the sustainable growth and development of handicraft sector. The second section discussed the literature review about handicrafts and sustainable growth and the third section covered the research methodology. The fourth and fifth parts of the paper covered the data analysis and conclusions of the study.
