Abstract

The Learning and Integrating New Knowledge and Skills (LINKS) project is designed, to integrate established and emerging technologies into the teacher preparation curriculum at Texas Woman’s University. LINKS addresses the technology needs of preservice teachers by supporting their development as well as the associated development of their mentor teachers and university instructors. This approach is consistent with best practice, and the research conducted to evaluate the efficacy of project implementation within the preservice teacher population is discussed. The project, as well as the accompanying research, is supported by a U.S. Department of Education Preparing Tomorrow’s Teachers to Use Technology implementation grant.
