Abstract

Embark on an exploration of finds from Roman Britain through our interactive map utilising the data from a variety of research projects I have been involved with. Each layer explores a different form of material culture that offers new insights into the past. I have been researching a range of objects from the 4th century to think about the end of Roman Britain and what these objects might be able to tell us about the military, the state run administration and the population of Britain as a whole particularly the late Roman elite who would have been responsible for much of the administration.
