Abstract

Qualitative securitology, even in its highest form of deductive science, can be of didactic and cognitivevalue at best. Educators may find it useful for preserving the logical order of teaching and conductingeducation, while theorists may benefit by preserving the order of completed and planned research.Practitioners, in order to solve optimization tasks, mostly need quantitative securitology, which allowsthem to capture problems quantitatively and apply mathematical methods. They are usually notinterested in the qualitative (theoretical) aspect, unless such knowledge proves useful in establishingthe assumptions of a particular model. For this reason, applying the strategy of theory prior toresearch, the author presents selected measures and evaluations of system security and proposes theirgeneralization to other systems as well, e.g. social, anthropotechnical, as well as other systems. Giventhe high generality of results, they may prove to be a conceptual apparatus to provide the opportunityfor a broader and cumulative discussion involving various disciplines and different points of view.
