Abstract

Masses of neutron-rich nuclei ranging from ytterbium to uranium were investigated using the Schottky Mass Spectrometry (SMS) method. Special efforts were devoted to exploring long-lived K -ismoers in the mass 180-region. New ground state masses, new isotopes and isomers are also identified in the sub-uranium region and 208 Pb region. Some preliminary results from this experiment are presented.
