Abstract

This study investigates into one of the important issues related to female education that is problems faced by female in higher education in District Dir, Lower. This study has been conducted in Dir Lower, KP, Pakistan. This study is framed under quantitative research design. A total of 374 female studying at university level were sampled and were questioned through a structured questionnaire. The information has been analyzed in tabular form including socio-demographic information, uni-variate analysis and bivariate analysis. Findings of the current study indicate those females are confronted with many problems while attaining higher education. These problems in particular include transport related problems (e.g. expensive and uncomfortable transport, lack of transport etc.), security related issues and hostel problems such as lack of quality food, water, washroom facilities, expensive hostels etc.
