Abstract

This article describes the history of the Internationale Jugendbibliothek/International Youth Library (IJB/IYL) in Munich, Germany and highlights various activities and outreach programs hosted by the library. There is a particular focus on the ways that school librarians, school library educators, or school library researchers can benefit from these services. The research fellowship programme offered by the IYL is also emphasized along with the author's experiences as one of the library's research fellows.
