Abstract

This study discuss a framework for a mobile collaborative work support platform for activities that people engage in for some purposes not only in an organization, but in unorganized places such as relief centers in a disaster. We have modeled these activities using two models: a meeting-oriented coordination model and a generative communication model, more widely database models of the distributed systems databases because these activities may be coupled or uncoupled temporally, while being uncoupled referentially. We developed a collaborative work support system for Android devices using a data stream management system, one of the implementation techniques of the meeting-oriented coordination model. On the basis of our results, we consider the graph database model to be suitable for collaborative work group support because of its capability to represent the relationships among the entities engaging in these activities. We present our initial design for collaborative work group support using the graph database.
