Abstract
Objective To identify the self-care agency in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and the influencing factors. Methods The self-care agency of 102 patients with COPD was determined using Exercise of Self-care Agency (ESCA). The statistical software SPSS for Windows version 10.0 was used for data analysis. Results The mean score of the self-care agency was (93.24±14.03). Multiple regression analysis showed that the influencing factors that could affect significandy the self-care agency were depression, anxiety, night symptom and family relationship. Conclusions Anxiety, depression, night symptom and family relationship of patients with COPD should be emphasized in the design and implementation of nursing intervention measures.
