Exploration in Oklahoma and Panhandle of Texas in 1969

Abstract

A strong increase in exploratory drilling and success was experienced in 1969. Development drilling was also up. Geophysical activity declined markedly, and land activity remained at about the same level as last year. The Anadarko basin continued to receive major emphasis in all of the above categories as the deep drilling campaign continued along with a high level of shelf and hinge line drilling.
