Abstract

An optimal operation method to exploit flexibility of district heating network (DHN) for electrical-thermal integrated energy system (IES) is proposed in this paper. The model of IES is established, including the quasi-dynamic model of heat transmission and revised temperature safety constraints of DHN. An optimal operation method for IES is proposed based on the model. Method of fatigue life evaluation of DHN is introduced to evaluate the result of optimal operation method. Case study is conducted on an IES with a 6-node DHN to verify the proposed optimal operation method as well as to analyze the influence of temperature gradient constraints on operation schemes and the fatigue life of the DHN.
