Abstract

pattern of the so-called double-slits experiment, we cannot determine whether the WFP after an interaction is random or not. We find that in order for the first-order perturbation to yield a non-preposterous result for the power of magnetic-wiggler bremsstrahlung, the value of the transverse momentum should be set equal to the classical average of the transverse momentum during emission. We show with QWD that the scattering cross section of an electron with respect to the spontaneously-produced laser radiation in an early free-electron laser [1] is 10 15 times larger than the Thomson cross section.
