Abstract
In Brazil it has seen migratory flows due to global crises and health services have been facing a large number of users coming from other countries. This article analyzes the way in which the Unified Health System (SUS) has welcomed immigrants, through reports by immigrant women with different legal statuses, when accessing SUS. We then explored how health control and, as a consequence of life, aimed at immigrant women, has impacted their lives. The results show that their experiences are mostly based on an emotional grammar of violence. Considering that the emotional content in health care is one of the main factors in the healing processes, we intend to contribute so that the offer of health services in Brazil is attentive to humanized practices.
