Abstract
Abstract Optimalizer control principles were applied to the control of a flight-propulsion system. The control system described metered the fuel flow to an engine in such a manner as to cause the engine to seek a maximum pressure. Experimental data are presented illustrating the control behavior for a range of flight conditions, for various control settings such as gain and integral time constant, for various amounts of filtering, and so on.
