Abstract
GREENMELK is a commercial product containing a combination of succulent cereal grasses and buttermilk. It is recommended as a supplement to grain concentrates for mammals and poultry. It is reputed by its manufacturers to be rich in carotene, vitamins B1, C, E, riboflavin, summer milk factor, xanthophyll and chlorophyll. It contains, in young cereal grasses and buttermilk, two of nature’s best sources of vitamins, proteins and minerals.Greenmelk is produced by raising wheat, oats, and other cereal grasses on good soils, and, before the young shoots have jointed, the shoots are cut at the time when they are richest in desirable qualities of vitamin content. These young grasses are then mixed with buttermilk reputed to preserve their vitamin content and their most desirable feeding qualities.
