Abstract
Using vibrating beam scanners and a minicomputer a system has been developed which enables one to perform easy measurements of the emittance of the external beam of the Eindhoven AVF cyclotron. This system has been used to measure the effects on the emittance of some cyclotron parameters. The results clearly show the effect of the processes in the cyclotron centre and are in accordance with some simple theoretical considerations.
