Abstract

Reflectivity changes of a semiconductor surface irradiated by laser light are experimentally studied and compared with, the behaviour of metallic samples. A short discussion on the physical quantities related to these reflectivity changes is presented. Techniques have been developed which allow:a) to record the time during the laser pulse at which the change of phase occurs,b) to put in evidence the instantaneous trend of the reflectivity.
