Abstract

The intent of this document is first to discuss some strategies in preventive health care of elderly people and second, to describe two Danish experiments and their evaluation. The general preventive strategies discussed here are 1) screening programs to detect hidden asymptomatic disease, 2) identification of risk groups for further intervention, and 3) acute case finding to detect and declare symptomatic disease and needs for social services.
