Abstract

In this chapter, we use the results of the above theoretical methods to describe recent experiments on the generation of nonclassical light exhibiting photon antibunching, sub-Poisson photon statistics, and the squeezing of vacuum fluctuations. Substantial nonclassical effects observed in these experiments have a fundamental meaning for quantum theory and for the application of nonclassical light as a new state of optical fields.
