NORGORDEN (B-EE- ′31 PhD ′36). Received his B-E.E. and PhD. degrees from the University of Minnesota. He has been at the Naval Research Laboratory since 1936 and is now in the Communication Branch of Radio Division II. Present activities are concerned primarily with Communication System analysis, wave propagation and radiating systems. WALTERS received a B.S. in Engineering at the University of South Carolina in 1938. Two and one half years general engineering experience in several plants in South Carolina 1941 to 1942 as engineering inspector for the Inspector of Naval Material at Cincinnati, Ohio. From 1942 to 1945, active duty in the U. S. Navy. From 1942 to 1943 in the Navy's Radio Engineering course at M. I. T., Bowdoin College and Bell Telephone Laboratories. From 1944-45 as an Instructor in Navy Electronic training schools. Since February 1946 employed by the Communication Branch of the Naval Research Laboratory. The work is chiefly concerned with research and development on antennas and associated components, and in general, with application to shipboard communication problems.Search for more papers by this author O.
