Abstract
This paper focuses on some isues and directions for experimental work in physics at the secondary level and their implications for teacher training. Recommendations are given for students’ experiments in the real world, open‐ended experiments, low‐cost experiments, evaluation of students’ attitudes and skills in experimental work, and development of teachers’ capability to improve and design students’ experiments.
