Abstract

Passive rubidium frequency standard is widely used in communication and navigation. Wahlquist and Arndt have given the mathematical model of quantum detection in Passive rubidium frequency standard, using Fourier series expansion. Vanier and Audoin once mentioned that we could get this model by using Taylor series expansion, and provided their mathematical expression. Based on this foundation, our paper derived the process of Taylor series expansion in detail by using the block diagram of passive rubidium frequency standard, and verified this model by preliminary test.
