Abstract

To avoid the poor working ability of the equipment loading in the hypersonic vehicle caused by the aerodynamic heating, a heat insulating structure for the equipment was designed. Applying the quartz lamp heating system to imitate the high-temperature aerodynamic heating environment, the reliability of the heat insulating structure was tested. And the temperature results of the key points in the structure were found secure for the equipment. There were three other experiments conducted to compare with the former test, including bringing the heat insulating materials out of the structure, replacing the heat insulating materials by sticking the aluminum foils on the surfaces of the main structure and removing the screws. The results showed that heat insulating materials played an important role in reducing the heat transfer and the thermal contact resistance had a remarkable effect on the final temperature. However, the aluminum foil was not such useful to prevent heat transfer in the high-temperature environment.
