Abstract

New results of vapor pressure data for fluoroethane (HFC-161) have been measured in the temperature ranges from 253.15 to 323.15 K. Measurements were made using a cyclic method. The temperature uncertainty is ±0.005 K and the pressure uncertainty is 0.04% FS and the maximum total pressure uncertainty of these data is estimated to be within ±1.32 kPa. Based on experimental data, a new Wagner-type vapor pressure equation for HFC-161 is presented. The overall root-mean-square (RMS) deviation of vapor pressure between measured and calculated value is 0.03341%.
