Abstract

This paper presents two devices which allow research on larval rearing related to egg characteristics. The devices were supplied with an open water circulation system in which temperature and salinity could be controlled. Their efficiency for two stages of development, embryogenesis and larval survival from days 14–20, was tested with turbot ( Scophthalmus maximus), sole ( Solea solea), sea bream ( Sparus auratus) and sea bass ( Dicentrarchus labrax).
