Abstract
Experimental tests of the VMD model in pseudoscalar meson photoproduction are reviewed. The difficulties associated with the model are discussed. The so-called “failures” of the model are analyzed and their possible origins are pointed out. Impressive evidence supporting the model is emerging. New possible tests of the model are proposed.
